Test tennis rackets at Tennis-Point
With the Tennis-Point test racket service you order up to three tennis rackets at once and play with them on court for 10 days before you decide – for 15 € per racket. If you like one of the models, we credit the fee towards your purchase in the form of a voucher. Test rackets are available from many different brands; the most popular come from Babolat, Dunlop, HEAD, Tecnifibre, Wilson and Yonex.
How the test racket service works in three steps
- Order: Choose up to three test rackets from the range and complete your order. The fee is 15 € per racket, and there are no additional delivery costs for the shipment to you.
- Test: From the day you receive the goods you have 10 days. Try each racket in several real match situations – on the serve, from the baseline and at the net a model often feels different than during a first quick hit.
- Send back and decide: Return the test rackets free of charge using the enclosed returns label. If you like one of the models, you will receive a 15 € voucher by email towards your new purchase – redeemable once from a minimum order value of 40 €, not combinable with other promotions (individual brands and daily deals may be excluded).
What should you look out for when testing?
- Playing level: Beginners benefit from forgiving models with a larger head, advanced players from more control and precision.
- Head size: Larger hitting surfaces are more forgiving of off-centre shots, smaller ones demand a cleaner contact point.
- Weight: Lighter rackets are easier to accelerate and are gentler on your arm, heavier ones deliver more power.
- Balance: Handle-heavy rackets have their centre of gravity closer to the grip and improve control, head-heavy ones increase power.
- Grip size: There should still be a small gap between your thumb and fingers when you grip the racket – if the grip is too thin, your hand tenses up.
Frequently asked questions about the tennis test racket service
Do I have to buy one of the rackets after the test?
No. If you do not like any of the three models, you simply send them back with the free returns label and can then order up to three new test rackets again.
What happens if I do not send a test racket back, or send it back too late?
If a test racket does not reach us within 10 days of you receiving it, we will invoice it at full price.
Do the test rackets come strung and ready to play?
Yes, every test racket is supplied with fresh strings at medium tension and a new overgrip. Babolat models also come with the brand's own Babolat setup. Replacements for your own grip tape can be found among the overgrips.
In which countries can I use the test racket service?
