New entry into the VCORE Pro line for 2019, Yonex introduces the VCORE Pro 97 HD (320G). The racquet itself is a player’s frame designed for the big-hitting players looking for devastating winners. It features excellent stability to go with excellent control and feel.

The racquet comes equipped with Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) to filter unwanted vibrations. This frame continues the use of Namd technology integrated into strategic locations of the frame. This new material allows for unique flex and fast frame snapback. Yonex improved the throat design of the frame, giving the racquet optimal torque to produce additional spin. Improved grommet system thanks to Yonex’s Lock Booster System which promotes string contract for an efficient energy transfer and extra power. Equipped with Isometric head shape which helps to absorb shock and frame vibrations – allowing for a heavier more powerful ball.

At 11.9 ounces strung and a 97 square inch head size, new VCORE Pro 97HD is a solid player’s frame that offers excellent feel and adequate control.

For Optimal String Performance Yonex Recommends:

Felt pretty solid, but a bit under powered. Surprised how "tinny" it felt and a little unstable. Not as plush as anticipated. I preferred the feel of the Head Gravity Pro

Oodles of feel
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I spent a few days demoing different rackets and honestly didn’t really have any expectations for the Yonex - I’ve been a Wilson guy for decades. Well I just bought two of these. The feel reminds me of the flexibility of the wooden rackets I grew up with plus the added power provided by modern tech. I splurged and got VS gut; very very happy with how this racket plays and feels.

Near Perfect!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

After dealing with tennis elbow off and on over the last couple of years, I've found my racket! I grew up playing with the PS85 and the Head Prestige Mids through the years. After being out of the game for some time, I started playing again a couple years ago with the Babolat Pure Strike 16 x 19 and then the Wilson RF97A. Both are great rackets, but even a full bed of Babolat VS natural gut couldn't keep my arm comfortable with them. I decided to look for something with a great feel like those old classics of my younger days, but easier to hit and without the sting to my elbow. This new Yonex VCORE Pro 97 HD has that older feel, but is easier to hit with and feels so nice when you hit the sweet spot. Off center hits don't have a jar to them either. The thin beam is a plus as well. I can hit a nice feeling 75% flat serve or a kicker easily. Volleys feel wonderful and can be placed easily. I'm sure it'd be a very good baseliners racket, but I'm still serving and volleying and using it for doubles. I added a leather grip and 5 grams of tungsten putty inside the butt cap to make it a little more head light (~ 10 pts). Feels great with a full bed of natural gut from 52-57# for me. If you enjoy thin beam arm friendly rackets, give this one a swing.
