sound funny but play normal

I purchased a case of the Triniti Pro balls to use with my ball machine and for serve practice. These balls make a slightly louder noise when struck but I kind of like it. They bounce the same as I am used to from playing with pro penn marathon balls. I expect these will last far longer though.

Wilson Triniti Pro balls

I was intrigued by the claim that these Triniti Pro balls last 4X as long as regular balls so I bought a case to use in games with a tennis club. We have been using about 12 cans of balls per month so a ball that lasts 4 times as long will save us money even if they cost double the price of other balls. The Triniti Pros have retained their bounce through 3 sessions of 90 minutes of play. Each time we use them i compare Triniti Pro used balls with a new ball - usually Penn and they are as good or better. Their are 2 differences that players have noticed. 1. They make a bit more noise when hit than a "normal" ball. Not a problem. Just listen to a tennis tournament on TV and notice the loud noise when pros hit the ball. 2. the Wilson Triniti Pro name wears off faster than other Wilson balls or Penn balls. It does not seem to have any impact on the ball performance. This is a psychological issue and some have assumed the used Triniti Pros are old and not good just because the name is worn down a bit. We have also run into the issue of not being able to get balls back after they are used. Therefore, in some cases we only get one or two uses before they are gone.
