The Federer Stick Never Fails
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I own 2-3 of the RF97s and this is the last version so I picked up one more given this the last one with 340 grams of weight. As was the case with the other versions it is solid for volleys and ground strokes. The weight of it challenges the user to keep their technique clean. When I do that I am rewarded with plow thru and on the slices I am slicing up deli meats and cheeses while reminding my customers that it says Federer on it. I string it in the low 40’s with gut or if I am on the cheap FXP 17 . The champion’s hybrid with the gut in the mains works well too.

Pro Staff and Cons

First things first, there are no cons concerning this racquet. Great control, good feel, very responsive, and perfect fit for myself. I'm very happy to have chosen this racquet.

Pro Staff upgrade
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

In order to keep pace with the game and my student athlete's it was time to upgrade my pro staff rackets with this newer version. Immediately I could feel the additional power and control making me more confident and competitive with my opponents. I provide private lessons and coach the local HS team. I received my training at Van Der Meer Tennis Academy, Hilton Head, South Carolina. I purchased two of these rackets but I will only submit one review.

The racket has a lot of power. The Negative points to the racket include the standard grip that comes with it is very thin and unless you put an over wrap on it it will rub against your skin. The second drawback is that the racket scratches very easily and since the paint is black it is noticeable.

Decent racket so far but I lean more toward an earlier version of RF97. This one feels al muted in terms of feel and power. Same swing on this racket seems to give less power than the older RF97 or prostaff rackets. Might change with additional stringing tweaks in coming months
