The Wilson Clash 100 US Open Edition features the same composition and specifications as the in-line Clash 100 within a limited edition design sporting a New York City map, which represents day sessions of the most popular tennis tournament on US soil.

The Clash gets its name by combining usually opposite traits of (power + control) + (flexibility + stability) all within the same frame.

The Clash 100 is designed to take advantage of the more vertical swing of the modern game. The Clash 100 bends in a specific way, which creates a deeper ball pocket and enhances the overall feel of the frame – while still providing excellent stability.

Wilson has added all-new technology into the Clash, starting with the introduction of “Free Flex.” Powered by a proprietary carbon mapping, the Clash bends in all-new dimensions so players can swing freely with more confidence. Wilson also developed the Clash with a unique frame geometry known as “Stable Smart” – designed through digital simulation, providing best-in-class stability and power, making the Clash one of the most flexible frames in tennis.

With a 100 square inch head size, a solid 11 ounce strung weight, and an open 16x19 string pattern, the Clash 100 is a great feeling racquet for a wide variety of player types looking for a mixture of power, control, and spin.

For Optimal String Performance Wilson Recommends:

  • Comfort: Wilson Sensation Plus
  • Control: Luxilon Smart

Just switched to this racket from the Head Speed Pro. The speed worked well for me for many years, but the older I get (50+ now), the heavier it seems and I've also been developing persistent wrist and elbow pain. Was looking for a replacement in the 11oz range that had good flex because of my arm problems. Tried the Clash first and after some adjustment to the racket and the way I play, I'm really liking it. Full confident swings result in penetrating shots with good spin, but it's also very easy to get good depth and pace on defensive shots. I added about 2oz of lead to 10 & 2 for stability and .5oz to the tip for a little more plow through to help with serves. Biggest complaint was the factory Wilson grip, which was way too thick and spongy, but that was easily fixed by replacing it with another grip. All in all a great racket.
