That bold adidas wordmark on the medial side is made from tough RPU to combat wear from foot drag.

Return to the Barricade
Years ago, I played in the Barricades and found other shoes that were lighter and helped with quicker foot work.. I gravitated towards the Asics Speed Solution and Gel 7. Great shoes, have been using the Babolat's and Nike as well. Have to admit, the graphics on these intrigued me enough to try them again. Absolutely love the shoes. They are light, great support, took about one hitting session to break them in. These are my go-to shoes now. I have a wider foot and they stretched enough to not cause any discomfort. I do use orthotics, and the shoe was forgiving enough to fit them in and still be comfortable.
Good shoes
I like the shoes once they are on my feet. The heal is wider and probably prevents some ankle sprains. Only issue for me, with high instep, is that I need a shoe horn to put them on.
Disappointed...
I ended up returning the pair of Adidas Barricade 12 I had. After playing in them twice, I decided there were too many things that could go wrong. Have a pretty narrow foot and the tongue would slip and get in bunches. The laces are pretty thin for those trying to really lock them down. The Bounce in the back of the foot was super cushioned, but moving around, the heel is extremely bulky. Forefoot is low to the ground for good court feel, but didn't really feel any cushion. Seems like classic Barricade shoe, but feel like there are better options out there.
sizing is way off
These shoes are a good half inch longer than my current New Balance shoes, both size 12.
I love everything about this product
I’ve bought every recent tennis shoe. I have a closet full of them. Every major brand. This new Barricade is my absolute favorite. My foot feels completely secured and protected. There is a rough break in period so wear some comfy socks, but this shoe is amazing if you want to feel stable.

Incredible shoes to play tennis. The previous model barricades were distinguished by their durability by being very hard on the sole. this model is super comfortable. change totally.
