Join the Tennis-Point Team at the 2022 Western & Southern Open
THE OPPORTUNITY: Associates for the TENNIS-POINT Pro Shop located at the Linder Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio during the Western & Southern Open August 13-August 21, 2022.
THE NEED: We need people who are passionate for, involved in, and knowledgeable about the great sport of Tennis; and ready to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
THE COMMITMENT: A minimum of four 8-hour days per week for 2 weeks (64 hrs.). Each day presenting a choice between two shifts, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and 4:30 pm to close (variable based on tournament schedules) A maximum of 5 8-hour days per week for 3 weeks (120 hrs.).
THE WORK:
Retail Sales Associates: Friendly, attentive, and patient customer care to tournament patrons shopping for Tennis Apparel, Footwear, Equipment, and Accessories from the finest and most well-known manufacturers of product in the industry. Additional duties will include merchandise stocking and maintaining an orderly and clean workspace and product presentations. Associates experienced with point-of-sale systems may also have an opportunity to assist with customer check-out.
Back-Stock Merchandisers: Working with the Retail Sales Associates to ensure that product displays are always kept fully stocked with available inventory, and the presentations are maintained in an orderly fashion. The merchandiser is also responsible for keeping and communicating an accurate, running inventory count of all products. Additionally, this position may need to assist with friendly, attentive, and patient customer care to our tournament patrons when additional support on the sales floor is needed.
THE REQUIREMENTS: The ability to be on your feet for the duration of your shifts, be a flexible team player…and work hard and have fun. It is your responsibility to provide your own transportation to and from the facility, be on time, and stay for the duration of your commitment. Retail experience is helpful and preferred, but not mandatory, and the minimum age is 18 years old. In accordance with laws and policies of the State of New York and New York City; all applicants must have proof of Covid-19 vaccination.
THE BENEFITS: The experience of working with a globally recognized company and being able to watch in-person action at one of the premier Tennis events in the world. Meeting the minimum work requirements will grant the staff member credentials to roam the facility in their off-hours and watch any practices and matches not requiring a specific and separate ticket for entry.
THE COMPENSATION: The pay is $15 per hour. Payable by check upon completion of work and accompanied by appropriate tax form filing at year end.
