Head Velocity MLT 16G Tennis String

The Head Velocity MLT string works well in a full bed or in a hybrid setup. For almost 10 years I have stayed away from using multifilaments until trying a full bed of this string in a Babolat Pure Aero at 55 lbs. It plays like a soft poly with good power and spin and with great feel. The only drawback is that the strings move somewhat, but not excessively. After 6 sessions I haven't seen any tension loss or fraying, so it looks like this string will last longer than a typical poly. I have also used it with success in a hybrid setup with Cyclone strings, but I prefer the feel with a full bed of this string. I have also tried the natural color version which seems a little less crisp than the black.

Quality, Durability, Affordability.

I have been using this multi on and off for the past two years in both the 17g and 16g (natural and black). I have found there 17g offers very consistent linear power, good spin potential, and better than average tension maintenance. Many of the shops in my local area use this in their demos due to these playing characteristics and good durability.

I string for others and this is my go to multi-filament string. It is easy on the arm, adds power, but yet has good control too. Unlike some other multi's it doesn't fray after a few hits, the price is about half that of most other multi's too....
