With the innovative Auxetic technology delivering sensational impact feel and enhanced playability, the upgraded RADICAL MP offers a modern blend of power, control and spin. If you love to mix it up, you will adore the Radical MP, which has Graphene in the frame, a variable beam cross-section which balances power, control and spin, and a dynamic 16x19 string pattern. Known as 'The People's Racquet', the Radical series has a bold, new, asymmetrical design.

  • Graphene Inside: Strategically positioned in most of Head's racquets, Graphene strengthens the frame, provides greater stability and optimizes energy transfer from racquet to ball. When you buy your next racquet, be sure it has Graphene inside.
  • Sound Grommets: Sound grommets provide enhanced power via greater string movement and optimize sound and vibrations
  • Control Pattern: A more dense 16/19 string pattern provides the perfect mix of control and power
  • Variable Beam: The variable beam cross-section perfectly balances the power, control and spin of the racquet.

former Head Liquidmetal Radical Midplus player, a much needed upgrade
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

In my early 20s I played for my University 1st team and my weapon of choice was the Head Liquidmetal Radical Midplus, it had a small head, a lot of feel and a nice balance to it. Moving the clock forward 12 years and after not playing at all for that period, I returned to tennis and these liquid metals (and their 12 year old strings) and immediately earned myself a solid case of tennis elbow. In all my years of playing i'd never had it, but the racquets were not arm friendly and neither were those old strings! I was told by many to update my racquets to one with newer technology, sceptical as I play well with the old faithful liquid metals, i decided to try some new ones using the tennis point raquet testing program. It was brilliant! I tested 12 racquets in total over the course of a month or so and finally narrowed it down to the Head Radical 2023, the Head Boom MP 2023 and the head Radical MP 2023. I tried the wilson pro staff, a few babolat, most of the new Head range, but I found that after my tennis elbow, the MP racquets, with their lighter weight just felt really good. I play with a fast racquet speed and heavy topspin and power and didn't want to sacrifice those elements of my game for a lighter racquet, but fortunately the Radical MP gave me just the right balance of all three, allowing me to get a lot of great topspin (a lot of that is technique though, it's not really a spin machine like the babolats) and some heavy power...I like the balance of the racquet a lot and it packs significant power considering it's light weight feel. It's flexibility also allows it to be softer on my arm and since having physio and using these racquets my tennis elbow (which was so bad i couldn't even lift a cup) has totally gone. I was honestly surprised that this racquet felt better than the babolats, as a lot of top players rate them and it's a popular brand among friends too...but for me, the Head MP felt so much nicer in my hand and so it was a clear winner. Returning to my liquid metals isn't a possibilty for me now, what used to feel so right in my hand, now feels strange and alien compared to the newest radical MP. I'm no longer a sceptic about the newer technology, it really has made a huge difference to my game...and my arm! I'm not sure how it would fair for different types of players, but if you like power, topspin and heavy ground strokes then I think this one is a great fit, definitely worth testing atleast (which i really recommend when choosing a new racquet)

I have a previous version of the Radical. It’s a wonderful frame, it only took me a couple hours to get used to it. Surprisingly a lot of power came off of this frame…. Maybe I need to adjust my string tension a bit. I absolutely love how it’s made my serving. Biggest improvement is there for me. Volleys are better as well!
