When you hear the whistle then you know you're following through. Otherwise, it will sound quiet. So it is great feedback. They should all do this. Note this works best at the tip of the racquet vs down by the throat. That gets a conversation going as well when people look at that and start asking questions. Great fun. Then they hear the sound and run and buy one.

I thought this dampener would be a fun way of getting audible feedback on my swing speed. But for me, the noise is just distracting, especially since you're not always swinging at full speed in tennis, so you only hear it sometimes. I catch myself noticing the sound or thinking about the sound in the middle of a point. Also, on my 97 16x19 racquet, it falls off more than other dampeners. However, despite it feeling like a plastic circle with barely any rubber on the triangular tips, I actually do like the feel I get with this dampener. It dampens slightly without things getting too muted.

These are great dampeners! Was a little skeptical but I know my racket head is accelerating well when I hear the whistle!
