Babolat introduces a new racquet Pure Strike racquet series, the Pure Strike 103. The newly minted speed machine features Babolat's new C² Pure Feel Powered by SMAC. Babolat implements a material technology at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions of the frame -- this combined with cortex allows for a nice dampened feel. Babolat continues the use of FSI Power Technology -- an optimized string pattern that was designed with wider spacing within the crosses, providing additional power. Also featured is Babolat's Hybrid Frame construction which gives any player a unique blend of power and control.

The Pure Strike 103 features a 103 square inch head size with a 21/23/21mm tapered beam. Weighing in at 10.7 ounces strung weight, the new Pure Strike 103 will be a little more forgiving than the smaller models within the frame, while still maintaining a nice balance of control and feel thanks to the new C² Pure Feel.

For Optimal String Performance Babolat Recommends:

  • Durability: Babolat RPM Blast Power
  • Playability: Babolat Xcel
  • Hybrid: Babolat RPM Blast / VS

Love This Racket
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I've been playing tennis recreationally off and on for a long time. I really enjoy just going out and hitting balls with friends. My playing partners have included competitive players at the collegiate level, other recreational players, and people brand new to the game. Over the years, I've played with various Wilson models, a couple different Head Radical generations, Head Ti.S6, and several Babolat rackets (Pulsion 102, Pure Aero, Pure Aero Tour). In the past, my favorite was the Head Radical. This Babolat Pure Strike 103 is my new favorite. The flex and head size are both perfect for me. The racket is stable on slight mishits and in returning high-pace shots from my playing partners, and the feel and control are both great in my opinion. I've seen some people complain about the lack of feel in Babolat rackets, but those are coming from high-level players. I'm not high-level, so my perception of the feel is different. This racket has waaayyyy better feel and touch than the Pure Aero Tour I also am using recently. I still pull the Aero Tour out when I'm playing with a heavy hitter, but I like this Pure Strike much, much better most of the time. In my amateur opinion. I think this racket would be great for a wide range of players from new beginner up to intermediate or advanced. It's only the really good, high-skill ball strikers that this may not be ideally suited for. I actually do prefer the heavier weight of the Aero Tour and can whip that thing around quickly no problem, but I have no issues with arm strength (5'9", 190 lbs, and I lift a lot and do a lot of dynamic and explosive strength training). Thus, I may add a bit of lead tape weight to the head of this thing to beef it up a bit. Aside from that, it is great right out of the box.

Good racquet
This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars

Did everything well, just not any better than the racquet I currently use which is old and I originally purchased for $99.
